Overview
Andrew Thomas's sculptural works explore ideas of form in relation to subject matter. Working firstly in wood, he uses the process of direct carving to explore the infinite possibilities of shape and dimension within the material block. Finally, each of his works is made permanent through casting in bronze.
Andrew Thomas SWAc
Andrew works at his studio in the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. He is a member of the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts, and is an author whose writing on art and sculpture has been published under his own titles, and in numerous international publications. His work can be found in private collections worldwide.
