This collection by respected stone sculptor Richard Holliday centres around three large-scale artworks, alongside a curated group of smaller pieces. Richard works with Cornish greenstone, Ancaster limestone, Portland stone, English alabaster and marble, creating stylised sculptures inspired by birds, fish, standing stones and other natural subjects.
Richard began his career in the 1980s as a stonemason on large scale architectural projects, and his work can be seen in the structural and ornamental stonemasonry at Westminster Abbey, Kings College Chapel and Ely Cathedral. Now based in West Cornwall, he is focusing on the creation of studio collections that demonstrate his considerable talents as a craftsman and interpreter of form.
