This Solo Exhibition by Polzeath's own Suki Wapshott includes a collection of her North Coast seascapes, alongside a series of paintings inspired by floral subjects and landscapes connected to the stories of flowers garlanded and gifted between loved ones. In her signature palette, Suki uses the power of colour to express the feelings of warmth and celebration we associate with flowers, and the meaning inherent in their arrangement and display.
Suki's practice is based on emotive interpretation and free expression, achieved through gestural mark making and an instinctive approach to colour and form. She lives and paints in Polzeath, where the Atlantic Ocean and North Cornwall coastline inspire her work.
