Much loved painter Simeon Stafford's new collection of works celebrates all things 'Cornish Fishermen', though a series of lively and affectionate works. Salty sea dog characters, fishing boats, plentiful catches, wet nets and lobster pots, white sails and bright buoys, wine and seafood on the sand and the jolly camaraderie of trawler crews on shore leave are all depicted in Simeon's distinctly joyful style.
Simeon was born in Manchester in 1956 and is one of the UKs most recognised painters. He has exhibited at the Royal Academy, and his work is held in numerous public and private collections, including that of the Royal household.
