Multi award winning artist Rachael Osborne has a background in ceramics, but her interest in other mediums led to passion for working with metals. She draws inspiration from the coastal landscape of Cornwall, from weathered, wind bent trees to ocean squalls and the unpredictability and perpetuity of the sea. Working in both ceramic and silver, she creates fascinating, unconventional jewellery and sculptural vessels through a crossover of both studio disciplines.
Rachael graduated with a BA in Silversmithing from Plymouth University. In 2016 she exhibited at FIDEM in Belgium and New Designers London, and in 2017 her work was exhibited at the BAMS Medal Exhibition in China. She has received the Goldsmiths Precious Metal Bullion Award, the BAMS Herbie Award, and The Worshipful Company of Pewterers Award. She lives and works at her studio near Perranporth in Cornwall.
