Mary Mabbutt

Mary Mabbutt's oil paintings are inspired by moments of ordinary domesticity. Exploring contrast, form and pattern in the everyday, her artworks respond to particular qualities of light and relationships of colour. From still life images to self-portraits, she celebrates the simple pleasures of   daily life, transformed and interpreted on canvas through the process of painting. Mary studied Fine Art at Loughborough College of Art & Design, and at the Royal Academy Schools in London. She lives and works in Falmouth, Cornwall, and exhibits across the UK and internationally.
