Debbie Lush's vibrant paintings are inspired by the beautiful landscape of the South West. In a palette of dreamlike colours, she makes images of the landscape based on walks with her dog along coastal cliffs, through gates, over fields and into woods, past pretty farm houses and beside bubbling rivers. In a distinctly narrative style, she maps the beauty of Devon and Cornwall's coast and countryside, capturing the inspirational colours and textures of landscape along the way.
Debbie Lush attended Harrow School of Art in London and went on to study illustration at the Royal College of Art. For the next two decades she worked as a freelance illustrator before turning her eye for visual storytelling and magical wonder to painting on canvas. She now lives and works at her studio in rural East Devon.
