Overview
Painter Hannah Davies was born in Cambridge in 1980. After completing her Art Foundation, she moved to Cornwall to study for a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Falmouth College of Arts, graduating in 2002. She continues to live and work in Cornwall. In her paintings Hannah aims to create a sense of sunlight on canvas through the layering of oil colour, responding to the type of light which filters through a glass window for a fleeting moment and is given a permanence in her images as a hazy impression, a memory long forgotten.
