Overview
Heidi Archer

Artist Heidi Archer works in oil, acrylic, carborundum and charcoal on canvas board and wood panel, creating artworks that respond to the landscape around her home in South Devon. Drawing on the details and visual motifs of Devon's coast and moorland, from boats to wild birds, she enhances her semi abstracted works by reworking, scoring and sanding back their surfaces to increase their depth of colour, often leaving parts of the surface material bare to reveal natural textures. 

Heidi lives and works in Teignmouth, in sight of both the sea and Dartmoor, and her work has been selected for the Society of Women Artists Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.
