Sara Ross

Artist Sara Ross spent many years working as a figurative sculptor in the film industry. Now a full time artist, she makes sculptural forms inspired by the patterns, colours, and textures of the natural world. Her recent works draw inspiration from the beauty of marine life and the features of our rugged Cornish coastline, where time and weather have made an imprint on the landscape. Sara works with Cornish stoneware clay and porcelain as well as cold cast bronze as, and uses a variety of experimental glazes and slips, as well as metal oxides, organic matter and crushed natural minerals and crystals in her ceramic work.
